In 1997 we were the first in Slovakia to open the gates to people to look for a job on the Internet. However, the first online job offers were only the beginning. Today, for more than a quarter of a century, we've been connecting businesses and people, delivering technology solutions and educating the public and employers.
We created the Profesia.sk job portal
At a time when many households did not yet have a computer and the Internet. However, work was always there. Thanks to Profesia, people in Slovakia were able to look for a job online for the first time ever.
We organized the first Profesia days festival of opportunities
The largest meeting of the public and employers in several cities in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Always full of inspiration, job offers and especially based on personal interaction between two worlds - those who are looking for a job and those who offer it.
We became part of Alma Media
For more than 10 years we have been part of the Finnish media company Alma Media. Thanks to this acquisition, our products and services have been able to become international over time.
We launched salary surveys at home and abroad
Through Paylab.com and Platy.sk we bring valuable data on salaries in Slovakia and around the world. We collect data directly from employees and hundreds of people compare salaries with us every day. Employees come here to check their value on the labour market, employers in turn get accurate data for fair wage decisions.
We brought several new projects to Slovakia
These include, for example, the mobile app Work Around the Corner or the state-of-the-art ATS Teamio. Work Around the Corner is ideal for companies recruiting in specific locations, as well as for people looking for work close to home. With Teamio, you have a perfect overview of recruitment in one place, wherever you are.
We have changed our business name to Alma Career Slovakia
After more than 26 years of operation as Profesia, we have changed our name to Alma Career Slovakia. We have thus unified our business name in 11 European countries and underlined our common goal - to create a better world of work for everyone.
